In 1983, Tom illegally taped the first ‘Now That’s What I Call Music’ LP (side one) onto a C60 cassette. 25 years later he found it in a draw and so we made a show about it.
Comedy dance duo, New Art Club, follow the success of last year’s Extra Ordinary World by jumping headlong into the dark pool of days gone by and coming out covered in a filthy 80’s gunk. By deconstructing this classic album to unearth funny dances and philosophical comedy about then, the future and now, can Pete and Tom save themselves from drowning in teenage reminiscences?
